Great article on how the radical right wants to eliminate all that pesky free-thinking by weeding out so-called “liberal” professors. Maybe there is a such a preponderance of liberals in academia just because they’re….smart?

I am a radical right and against many liberal teachings. But what pisses me the hell off is the fact that they are being biased towards conservatives. I respect their opinion but i dont respect their bigotry. Isn’t it ironic how liberals are supposed to be open-minded and yet they are being biased towards any opposition or dissent?

What pisses me off is that one of the base tenets of the “Conservative Party” (read: Republican) is smaller government and less interference in people’s lives. Then they turn around and try and legislate (well, not really legislate, since they’re trying to do away with the Legislative and Judicial branches, as they tend to be so problematic for their agenda) everything in our lives: freedom of speech, religion, abortion, and the list goes on.

Conservatives have forgotten that the FREEDOM OF CHOICE is what this country was built on. We will not be slaves to some bigoted ideology that they think is right for everyone else — based on some so-called “Christian” beliefs.

The idea of regulating colleges and establishing some sort of nebulous quota on hiring based on a person’s political beliefs is so unbelievably ridiculous that it is almost not even worth discussing — except that we have some wackos in power to whom it makes sense.

Suppression of free speech and free choice is the first step towards a totalitarian government, and Bush’s continued assault on our governmental system indicates that he and his cronies would like nothing better than to get rid of the democratic process.
